A Pine River woman has plead guilty to one misdemeanor charge stemming from an animal cruelty investigation carried out this summer.

More then 100 dogs were seized from Deborah Rowell's property in rural Pine River in July after invesigators found the animals without adequate food, shelter or water. Rowell had been charged with 9 violations, all of them misdemeanors, and she plead guilty for failing to provide dogs with adequate shade. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail, and that sentence was suspended by the judge.
