Flooding continutes to be a concern around the region. In International Falls, officials closed two spillways on a dam in an attempt to keep the floodwaters down, and a section of highway 11 remains closed because of high water west of town.

In Cass County, Sheriff Tom Burch says several areas are dealing with high water, and some homeowners are using sandbags there.

Itasca County has imposed no-wake zones on the Mississippi rivier, including Pokegama. And yesterday the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office issued a request for all boaters to consider the area 300 feet from any shoreline on all area waterways as no wake zones, in order to minimize shoreline erosion.

Several roads in the Waskish area have also been closed because of flooding from the Tamarack River.
